Meeting: Impact Database and Connecting Monitors to Older Computers
The evening started off with Chris Hughes talking about more of his use of the powerful database program called Impact from Sine Nomine Software, covering the programs accompanying the main one, and some of the more advanced features of Impact. Peter Richmond then talked about the various ways of connecting modern TV/Monitors to older Acorn/RISC OS computers. Our third and extra talk was a brief one from Andrew Rawnsley who popped in and gave us a look at the very latest (hot from the programmer) work on the new Wi-Fi working on the ROD networking stack, showing it working on the Pinebook Pro, with encryption working for a secure connection.
