The Wakefield Acorn & RISC OS Computer Show
In May 1996, Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club organised the first Wakefield Acorn Computer Show. The event was quickly arranged at short notice, following the cancellation of the Acorn User Spring Show in Harrogate, and was held in the Cedar Court Hotel at Calder Grove near Wakefield.
In 2000 the show became known simply as “Wakefield 2000” – and the naming convention has continued to the present day. Wakefield 2023 will be taking place ‘in-person’ on Saturday 22nd April 2023, at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford. Details can be found on the dedicated show website.
